چکیده
We have noticed an error in the radial metallicity gradient fits provided Table 3 (Appendix C) of published article. The columns that list gradients units dex arcmin-1, rather than noted kpc-1. In following we provide a corrected version table. All figures article are shown R25, and unchanged from version. results conclusions paper not affected by this error.

The Metallicity of Galaxy Disks: Infall versus Outflow
Galaxies are not “closed-boxes”. Both gas accretion (infall) and winds (outflow) change a galaxy’s metallicity and gas fraction, lowering the galaxy’s effective yield (≡Z/ ln (f gas)). Low effective yields are seen in galaxies with rotation speeds less than ∼ 120 km s, and have been widely interpreted as the onset of supernova-driven winds below a characteristic galaxy mass. However, accretion ...
متن کاملGalaxy Disks
The disks of disk galaxies contain a substantial fraction of their baryonic matter and angular momentum, and much of the evolutionary activity in these galaxies, such as the formation of stars, spiral arms, bars and rings, and the various forms of secular evolution, takes place in their disks. The formation and evolution of galactic disks are therefore particularly important for understanding h...
متن کاملMetallicity and Nuclear Star Formation in Nearby Galaxy Pairs: Evidence for Tidally Induced Gas Flows
We derive the first luminosity-metallicity relation for a large objectively selected sample of local galaxy pairs and we compare the pairs LZ relation with the relation for the Nearby Field Galaxy Survey (NFGS). Galaxy pair members with small projected separations (s < 20 kpc/h) have systematically lower metallicities (∼ 0.2 dex on average) than the field galaxies, or than more widely separated...
متن کاملThe Distance and Metallicity of the Newly Discovered, Nearby Irregular Galaxy HIZSS3
HIZSS3 is an H I source in the Zone of Avoidance. Its radio characteristics are consistent with it being a previously unknown nearby (∼ 1.8 Mpc) low-mass dwarf irregular (dIm) galaxy. Optical observations have shown that it contains a modest H II region but failed to reveal a resolved stellar population. New spectroscopic observations of the H II region obtained at the MMT Observatory are prese...
